Om Hot Yoga

OM HOT YOGA is a downtown yoga studio that offers many different styles of yoga from Hatha to Flow, with Yin and other forms of yoga thrown in for good measure. All done in a hot room.

You will find classes on the schedule that are set sequence and some that are free flowing and different every time you come.

We also cater to yogi’s from beginners to advanced. All classes can be modified to suit your skill level

This is hard to answer. Ask yourself these questions: what do I want from my yoga practice? Is vigorous and challenging experience or gentle and low-key more my style? Start where you’re comfortable. Then branch out and explore the variety of yoga styles available at OM HOT YOGA if you’re so inclined.

Bring a mat (or rent one at the studio for $2). Bring water (or buy for $2-$4) make sure you are hydrated before you come to class. Most people like 2 towels, one for their mat (special hot yoga towels available for rent for $3) and one for showering after (Again rent one for $3). Wear what you are comfortable sweating in, but don’t overdress. Cotton is generally a no no as it will stick to your skin and make your practice uncomfortable. Moisture wicking fabric generally works best.

Finally bring your smile and fun self.

No. Flexibility, or rather lack of it, is the number one reason people are afraid to try yoga. But it’s why they need it the most. It won’t take long before you notice improvements! (Hello, toes!)

We have two special deals for first timers, a 1 month unlimited for $59  (plus tax) for new students, It’s an amazing deal!

Yes! Many men have played sports since their youth, and they are strong – but also a little tight. As hockey players, figure skaters and golfers can attest to, yoga is the perfect basis for a strong cross-training program that includes stretching, strengthening, improved range of motion and assists in speedy recovery from injury.

Not all types of yoga are for all ages, but we have yoga that suits all ages. Peruse class descriptions to see which style of yoga best matches your current fitness levels and motivations for doing yoga.

We do not recommend children under the age of 13 to any adult class as they simply require instruction more suited to their age. However…as todays 13 year old is more like our 15…we do allow 13 and olders to be in adult classes with a parent. Please call for more details.

  • We have a ‘do not worry too much about being late’ policy. It is stressful to worry and try to make commitments to punctuality. This is counter-productive to the goals of yoga. Please however, when entering late, be mindful that others are settled in. Be like a mouse…
  • Please no talking once in the hot room. People are there to meditate and get themselves ready for class. If you come with a friend hang out in our reception and gab until class starts. Same thing when class is done, please leave quietly as not to disturb those staying to meditate.
  • Strong perfumes can irritate other participants… a little less is appreciated.

The schedule is the same every week for consistency. The schedule can change for summer and Christmas as well as Statutory Holidays. Some weekend classes may be cancelled for special events such as workshops.

Expect to pay more for a drop in than one of our passes as you are enjoying the flexibility that others have committed to.

These passes have an expiry date of 1 year, but can be extended for another year by paying $15. Please read the fine print on promotions and deals.

We do many types of privates from corporate wellness days, hockey and soccer teams, running groups, entire schools, office personnel, individuals and small groups. Privates range from $75 to $305 (plus tax).
